Episode #15: Queen Smith

Rebecca and Traci visit with Queen Smith. Queen grew up in Africa until the age of 14 and shares what it was like transitioning to the United States. She shares about her newest passion, Open Seat, a place for women to gather together for community and building relationships.

Let's just say that Queen lives up to her name. We met Queen for the first time right here on this podcast and her spirit shined through from the second we started chatting. Queen is the momma to a precious baby girl and resides in Dallas, Texas with her husband.

Queen was born and raised in Cameroon, West Africa and moved to the United States when she was 14. She shares with us what it was like growing up in Africa and then transitioning to America. You will be so inthralled to hear her experiences with her family dynamics growing up in Africa.

Queen just started her latest adventure, Open Seat. Open Seat is a monthly event where women from all walks of life gather to share their stories over a good plate of food. Her vision and mission for Open Seat is to create a place where authentic relationships and community can come to life.

We chat about facing our fears, letting go of the expectations of others, and living out our own passions and purpose. Enjoy!
